Mr. Anderson's Vth Form History Class: Creative Writing at the River

Experiential & Outdoor History Lesson on Campus

Mr. Anderson's Vth Form History class explored their perceptions of Native American antiquity on a perfect sun-drenched autumn day. Students spread out on the banks of the Shepaug River at the on-campus bend known as "Treasure Island." Students sprawled on the rocks—giant stones that perhaps Native Americans sat upon in a bygone era—and were able to feel into the atmosphere and then write stories based upon the classroom lesson.
